Further information

With this electric bike tour with a guide in your language you will be able to better appreciate the historic city of Naples, the squares, the castles, its imposing monuments, but also the history, the culture, its colors.

After having made the choice of the most suitable bikes for customers and a quick test, at the green Point "Neapolisolare" located on the ancient Spaccanapoli in the heart of the historic center, you will cross the lower decumanus (Piazza del Gesù, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, piazzetta Nile to reach the coast line.

We will stop for brief explanatory stops in Piazza del Municipio, where the Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino of the XIII century) is located; we will continue towards the large Piazza del Plebiscito to admire the colonnades of the Royal Palace and the oldest opera house still active in the world: the Real Teatro di San Carlo. Then we will go towards the sea and ride in complete safety along the cycle path of the seafront to the Borgo Marinaro, seat of the oldest city castle: Castel dell'Ovo (XII century). Here we will take a closer look at the ancient settlement of Monte Echia, considered the original place of the foundation of the city (Partenope) by Greek colonists. We will tell of the legends related to the fortress, such as the myth of the siren Partenope and Virgil's egg, then we will cross the magnificent coast of the Gulf of Naples with the fantastic background of Vesuvius and the islands (Capri, Ischia and Procida) and then take us to the hill of Posillipo.

We will climb effortlessly to the top of the hill whose name derives from the Greek Παυσιλυπον (Pausilypon) and means "respite from danger" or "that makes the pain cease" [2], a name linked to the panorama of the city coast and the gulf, view of enjoyed even two thousand years ago.

At the top of the Posillipo hill we will stop in the "Virgiliano" Natural Park and immerse ourselves in the green of the park's Mediterranean scrub. Here we will be able to enjoy the fantastic view from the top of the Gulf of Naples in front of the splendid peninsula of Nisida, the area of the "Campi Flegrei" and the hill of the Camaldoli. From the park, it will be particularly impressive to see the former industrial area of Bagnoli which housed the iron and steel plant of the Italsider, today considered the largest industrial archaeological site in Europe. Finally, we will return to the city center by crossing the halfway road (Corso Vittorio Emanuele) and descending from the Spanish quarters to Spaccanapoli.
